Field Trips & Extracurriculars

IES organizes trips throughout the semester that take you to unforgettable destinations both near and far. Past trips/tours have included orientation on the beautiful and historic island of Mallorca, hiking in the Pyrenees mountains, a visit to the medieval city of Tarragona, a guided tour of the Barrio Gótico (Gothic Quarter) right here in Barcelona, the surreal Dalí Museum in Figueres and many more.

Additionally, IES Barcelona organizes several optional field trips as an integral part of its courses. These include guided tours around Barcelona with Spanish university students, visits to several museums with IES professors, and even reaching heights atop Mt. Tibidabo to get an aerial view of the city and its expansion through the years.
